Istanbul Airport (IST) lets most international-to-international passengers connect airside without a Turkish visa. The terminal is huge, so allow at least 90 minutes and expect long walks. YOTELAir offers airside cabins, and Turkish Airlines runs free Touristanbul city tours for eligible long layovers.

Do you need a transit visa for IST?

It depends on your passport and whether you stay airside (inside the international transit area) or want to leave the airport, which always requires entry permission for Tรผrkiye.
