About

Making connecting flights less stressful

FlyTransit helps travellers answer two questions before every connecting flight: Do I need a transit visa? and What's the best way to spend this layover?

Transit rules are scattered across government websites, written in legal language and change without much notice. Travel blogs are easier to read but often vague or out of date. We aim to be both: clear enough to understand in 30 seconds, and precise enough to rely on, with the official source one click away.

Editorial policy

🏛️

Official sources first

Every transit rule is based on a government, embassy or airport source, and we link to it on the page.

📅

Dated and re-checked

Each rule page shows when it was last checked. We re-check published rules at least every 90 days.

🚧

Drafts are labelled

Pages we haven’t finished verifying carry a clear “being verified” banner and are hidden from search engines.

🤝

Money never changes the rules

Affiliate partnerships fund the site but never influence visa information or recommendations.

How we research a transit rule

  1. Find the official rule from the government or embassy of the transit country.
  2. Cross-check it with airline document checkers (most use IATA's Timatic database).
  3. Look for recent news of changes in the last six months.
  4. Write a plain-English summary, list exemptions, and link every source.
  5. Record the date checked, and re-check on a schedule or when a reader reports a change.

What FlyTransit is not

We're not a government agency, law firm or visa agent, and nothing here is legal advice. Airlines and border officers make the final decision. Always confirm with the official source or your airline before you travel. See our disclaimer.
